I am a registered member of the BACP and I therefore adhere to their ethical framework of good practice. I also receive supervision for my client work, which is a requirement for all qualified therapists under the BACP.

In 2015 I began my training in Psychodynamic counselling and completed my Diploma in 2018 at the Counselling Foundation in St Albans. I then completed my second diploma in counselling in Gestalt therapy at The Albany Centre in 2019 and I started my private practice seeing clients for face to face sessions for a range of issues from the age of 14+ years onwards.

I have had the privilege in being able to work with a variety of clients from a range of backgrounds with differing issues. I have had experience in working with issues such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, identity issues, relationship problems, eating disorders, self harm and work related bullying. I also have extensive experience in working with individuals from the LGBTQ+ community.

I also carry out clinical assessments for Mosaic Counselling Services which, delivers low cost counselling as a means tested service for clients on a lower income. I believe that no one should be denied access to mental health provision and will support clients by providing a variety of options so that no one is left behind.

I have been part of a developing a national course in Adoption Counselling Training sponsored by Barnardo's. I have recently completed my certificate in Adoption Support Counselling. Therefore, I am able to work therapeutically with birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees, and others in the family who may have also been affected by issues of adoption. Such issues that have I have a keen interest in working with are attachment patterns, shame, loss and personal identity – be it personal or cultural.
